Based on statistics from songs recorded by last.fm in 2009...which excludes all car stereo play and a lot of what I listen to on the Audiotron if I forget to turn on the scrobbler-thingie...

Top 10 Albums (obviously, this more heavily favors albums with more tracks, but I am too lazy to do the normalization). Interesting that all ended up being 2009 releases except for the I Wanna Go Backwards Box Set. I suspect Midwinter Graces made the list only because the last few weeks of the year, I pretty much only play seasonal music othersie, I'm not sure it would have (though I do like it).

After a little heming and hawing about whether I was up for the trip (it was Friday and it had been a long week), I decided at the last minute to go down to NYC to catch the rare gig by Katell Keineg and am sure glad I did. I dunno why I was even going back and forth about going -- music is all and Katell is nothing if not music.
Track 5 is new, I think, and she didn't mention the title. So rather than guessing, just leaving the name (and the tag on the flac) blank. If anyone happens to know, please fill us in.

obviously, i turned the twitter feed thingie off again. however, the plan to post more has not yet come to fruition, primarily because of a lack of time. work continues to be copiously unpleasant and consumes most of my brain and energy. hopefully that lock will loosen up a bit since the guy i trade-off the morning reporting with is back this week after being out for three weeks. but i'm not sure that'll necessarily make me a huge difference in the overall load since we're still woefully behind. and the bosslady is still bat-shit crazy. but what are you going to do?
anyway. gotta get something to eat in me and burn a new mp3 disc for the car in the next hour before heading out to new york to see sleepytime gorilla museum tonight. tomorrow, of montreal (with janelle monade) are here in new haven so there will be no rest for the wicked -- but at least there won't be a yale dance party after the show.
